Stacy Westfall Horse Wizard Baby Doll “Roxy” Is No Longer Here On Earth

Howdy,

Roxy, the horse that changed the way us trainers think of training naturally with no pain has died along with her foal!

This is the horse that Stacy Westfall rode bittless, bridless, and spurless with a tribute to her deceased dad, the video went viral!  Roxy lived such a short amount of time, truly a great loss. This story left me with a very wet face, life is truly precious and fragile.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Learning To Dance In The Storm

Howdy,

Life After An Almost Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident is challenging to say the least as chronic pain changes the person we once were, making it difficult to navigate life but not impossible.  Just for a moment think about a movie or book where people have overcome extreme trauma and obstacles?  Please never forget the shoes these people walked in, a road  very few people would choose as “no amount of fame or money can replace the life before trauma.”

Live your life with a grateful attitude and thank GOD for your health, family (two and four-legged) and never forget to thank GOD for those precious special friends (people) GOD has planted in your life. I believe true friends are angels sent by GOD to help us navigate this fallen world we live in I am especially grateful for my husband and best friend Scott.  I’m learning to dance in the storm  (in my mind) Stop Gritting My Teeth And Waiting For The Storm To Pass, Enjoy Every Moment Now as Life Is Precious and Fragile.

Even for the most determined personality healing from life threatening injuries is never a straight line, set backs are painful, tearful and difficult feels like being knocked down over and over again. Attending physical therapy I see people come in after knee surgery or something else they work hard and graduate from physical therapy.  After almost two years I am still trying to restore my body, such a long, long time and yet I am learning to dance in the storm using my mind. GOD in Jesus Christ precious name is amazing!

I have learned the mind is the battlefield and I must never give up, never stop believing that any moment, hour or day GOD can change everything, remove this pain and suffering, give me peace, health and joy once again. Changing our thought process enables us to heal after trauma. If we can change our thought process, we pay attention to what we are thinking, reading, watching on t.v. and the internet we can not only manage trauma we can dance in our minds.  Never forget  “one step back followed by Three Steps Forward”,  means we are making progress.  Never give up, never stop trying to change and grow no matter what the circumstance. Stay grateful, humble and trust GOD for everything.

I will never give up, curl in a ball and wait for something good to happen. I believe a body in motion stays in motion, a mind in motion stays in motion and we get out of life exactly what we put into it, most importantly I trust GOD in Jesus Christ name to restore everything stolen and give us double for our troubles.

The LORD has declared that he will restore me to health and heal my wounds.  JEREMIAH 17:14 read from The Secret Power Of Speaking GODs word by Joyce Meyer.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Donkeys Can Do Anything The Horse Can Do

Rio 9 months old

Howdy,

Rio, Lily and Rocket Man are taking a break from training while I work full-time to recover from the semi truck accident.  Training for manners, picking up feet, out of the barn, over, back-up (as they are never authorized to walk over us) is taught each and every time we are with them.  Equine (horses, donkeys and mules) can learn verbal commands just like dogs and I highly suggest training these commands to your domesticated equine i.e., whoa, over, back-up, trot, canter and my favorite “down” for a roll in the arena.

Take a look at Lucy a Mammoth donkey she is amazing.  What do you think of Savana her owner/trainer believes in love and kisses cute video. One more Apollo the mammoth donkey.

Training donkeys, horses  & Mules

*  No bit is required for training donkeys, mules and horses if all the ground work is completed along with verbal commands

*  Never work them too long no more than 45 minutes a few times a week

*  Stop training session with something the equine has mastered and end with a nice brush, take them for a walk with you for a bite of grass something the equine enjoys doing

*  Become humble and think about how you would want to be trained if you were an equine.  Would you want someone to take it slow and easy or be aggressive and in a hurry?  Would you want to learn how to carry your human partner with a metal bit hurting your mouth and trying to balance with the weight of a human? Are you up for the challenge to train your equine to ride bitless?  You can do it!  Training equine to ride bitless is better on the mouth when the rider does not have his/her seat as we should never be pulling and balancing on the mouth of our beloved equine.  Safety is always your number one goal and please remember working with equine (donkeys, horses and mules) can be dangerous.  Timing is important release the pressure at just the right moment and the equine learn more from this than the pressure.  Having emotional intelligence and empathy for your domesticated equine will help you become the best trainer and friend your donkey, horse or mule could ever dream of.

* Enjoy yourself and your special time with your donkey, horse or mule as you will never be in this same time again.  Life is precious and fragile enjoy every minute, hour and day GOD has given you.

It is imperative to your success that you provide the foundation of training for your equine.  Each of our equine has their feet picked out each and every day.  Each has been taught to stand for grooming, farrier, vet and each can trailer load without stress no big deal.  Try to remember when training you equine that each day is a building block to the next and take things slow and easy.  Donkeys are really smart if you have a small piece of carrot for training new things the donkey will be much more motivated to learn and stay in the class room.  Always end the training session with something the donkey has mastered so he leaves school feeling smart.  If you end the training session on a bad note your donkey will go back to the pen and think about how to get around you the next time you train.

Most importantly remember your horse, donkey or mule is a gift from GOD, life is fragile and precious we never know when our time is up or our beloved equine.  Take the time it takes to get to know your donkey, horse or mule more than just getting on and riding.  My opinion “Having an emotional connection is the difference between success and failure when training equine.”  So go enjoy your equine, have a plan and stay safe.

I am a home study student of Parelli and yes Parelli works for donkeys too!

Walking On Water

Howdy,

I am a survivor of an almost fatal motor vehicle accident while riding as a passenger with my GOD mother, looking back in time I had no idea my life was in jeopardy. The worst scenario ever a semi truck smashed into the passenger door where I was sitting.  Today my full-time job is to pray and believe GOD will heal my body and alleviate the chronic insane nerve pain, joint pain, back pain, numbness, deliberating pain the semi truck left me with. Walking with GOD is the only way I can navigate life as I am not strong enough to do this walk without Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, life is just too difficult to navigate without GOD.

I honestly and transparently share my life experience to help not whine or complain as my husband and I live our life with a grateful attitude to GOD. Everyone has something difficult in their life and we fully understand some people have more trauma and tests than others.  I share my blog to give all the credit to Jesus Christ our Lord and savior, provide hope, information and encouragement in the pursuit of health, love, and happiness in this thing called life we all navigate daily.  Never give up, never stop working towards excellence in your life as we get no more and no less than the amount of effort “work” placed into our life.   Trust GOD for all things.

Living with a humble and grateful attitude:

I am forever grateful to GOD in Jesus Christ name as I know I could have died and almost died after the accident.  I understand I could have lost my legs easily as eight ribs broke, lung collapsed, grade V kidney tear, pelvis shattered 3 large screws surgically installed to give me the ability to walk again.  Nerve pain is painful and causes sleep deprivation we continue to pray for a complete healing.  Honestly my husband and myself could have never endured this pain and suffering and loss without Jesus Christ as our LORD and Savior in combination with the bible for faith and healing.

Exercise is the key to getting well but exercise can cause more pain so our mind says no more. Sitting and not moving causes pain it imperative to get into a physical exercise program now while you are healthy.  I was physically fit from riding my horse and mammoth donkey, think of staying healthy as a savings account for your life as exercise is medicine.

Doctors use a pain scale from 1-10 they ask what is your pain today? I have come to accept my full-time job is to try to alleviate pain, get physically strong again, be able to sleep more than five hours a night, smile and laugh more.  Pain robs the person inside of us who is full of joy and happiness, as pain is very difficult to talk about, difficult for people to understand and can make life frustrating.  No medical device can measure the amount of pain the human or animal is in.  We must be able to have empathy and see when a living being is in pain, we must be bold and do our best to stop pain and abuse of humans and animals.

Walking on water (place a float around my waist) seems to be helping with less pain in the water still suffer from extreme pain out of the water mostly at night when trying to sleep.  Here is a cute video of a doggie doing physical therapy and playing at the same time.  Wondering if water physical therapy can help you or your loved one? Water therapy benefits

Do you have any stories of water physical therapy you would like to share?

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

The Humble Donkey Carries A Cross

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Howdy,

I’m thinking about how humble the donkey is without any effort just the way GOD made them.  What if us humans could learn how to be more humble with each human and animal we encounter? I think our world would be much easier to navigate, what do you think?

Preparation is the key to success with equine it’s the difference between riding and laying on the ground.  We took our young equine not able to be ridden yet as their bones were not fully developed unable to carry our weight for many trail walks to prepare them for trail riding.  Rio carried our lunch and water please don’t ride your equine too young and please don’t put a heavy weighted human on a miniature or pony this is abuse and it’s not funny. What age is my equine fully grown?

When training plan ahead and make sure your equine is prepared for anything you are asking them to do before you swing your leg over their back.  Safety is a good thing.

Humble meaning in the dictionary let’s make a plan to try to be more humble. What do you think about being humble? Consider leaving a comment.

What is the meaning of the cross on the donkey? Here is a look at the legend of the cross and the bible verse.

Donkeys are blessings from GOD no doubt and we are forever grateful for our donkeys.  Please remember if you are working with a donkey to honor and respect them have a plan before working with them.  Most not all donkeys are very introverted and it is very important to not force new things on them too quickly, walk away from them holding the new blanket, saddle or anything new let them come to you and explore don’t force it on them.

Donkeys are visual learners so try to be creative when setting up training for your donkeys let them see an honor donkey getting his feet picked out and a brush before forcing this on him/her.  I have seen donkeys lay down from fear and the owner pushing to hard and too fast as timing in equine training is essential to success.  My horse is an extrovert and when she gets scared she moves her feet as her personality is to run away under fear with the training from the Parelli program she is much better today.

Did you know that horses, mules and donkeys that are introverted will lay down when they see no way out of what is scaring them from the human predator I mean trainer.  This is a very heart breaking thing for me to see or hear about there is no need for this training and it ruins the equine as now they have lost the desire to learn and be curious and they are terrified.  Try to think of it this way how easy is it for you to learn something new when you are terrified and think you will die? The donkey, horse and mule will lay down from fear of dying they simply give up!  The equine is overwhelmed and afraid of the human predator doing the training. This is why I love Parelli program as they teach the human trainer how to train for each introvert, extrovert and not be a predator for our beloved equine.

Please be a humble equine trainer, have empathy when training horses, donkeys and mules. Extroverted horses can become so afraid they flip over backwards and break their backs or land on the rider but introverts will not move their feet or lay down.  Parelli teaches how to read the horseanalities this is a very powerful tool that can be used for donkeys and mules too. Be a natural trainer without abuse and high standards at performing and I promise you your donkeys, mules and horses will step up far and beyond your expectations. The bonus they will run up to see you every time you come to the gate.  Why? They look forward to the relationship with you not fear it.  All of my equine come to see me every time I go to the gate they know I will treat them with respect and I will never abuse them.  Important consideration; you must be safe and have tools to keep you in the leadership role without abuse so learning the natural training becomes easy for you and your beloved equine.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

I Am A Champion

Howdy,

I found this motivational video for a football team “I Am A Champion” and it made me cry it hit me in the heart!  We must never forget that as children of GOD in Jesus Christ precious name we are champions and nothing, nothing is impossible with GOD on our side.  What we think is what we get out of life no more and no less so never forget to be very careful what you are thinking and saying as our mind is the most precious and most valuable tool we have.  Never give up, keep pushing forward in this thing called life.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!
