Staying Focused On What Matters – Trust GOD for everything

Howdy,

Seems our world spins too fast and well it is easy to lose sight of what is the most important, specifically what’s the most important to each of us humans.   GOD made each of us unique with gifts and talents custom-made to fit into the part of the world we are living in. GOD does not make any mistakes.

I have learned to stay focused on what matters and trust GOD for everything as GOD is the great I am, the beginning and end, GOD knows the end of the story.  GOD knows what we will do under pressure, how we will act, what we need, what we don’t need.  The bible says GOD will never, never, never leave or forsake his children never.  GOD loves each of his children so very much enough to do whatsoever we choose to (free will) but what we do with free will has consequences.

When you get your picture taken do you smile a real smile or a camera smile?

Hmm, perhaps you are wondering what in the world I am talking about?   When my husband rides his motorcycle he has a real smile on it’s a deep smile one that I enjoy watching and this feeling of joy stays with him for a good couple of days.  Before the accident when I would ride my horse and our Mammoth donkey my face would hurt from smiling as well this was a real smile a smile that released wonderful endorphins into my brain, body and soul.

Perhaps you have not done the special thing that makes you smile a real smile in a really long time.  I challenge you to work on this as only you can make yourself smile the real smile as guess what you are the person living inside the body, soul and mind.  Step out and do your best to enjoy your life as each day is indeed a gift from GOD.

The photo above is me riding my horse Miss Lily in our newly created arena a dream I had since I was a young girl.  The photo was taken shortly before the semi truck accident almost three years now since I have been able to ride my horse.  I continue to pray GOD will heal my body and I will ride again and one day that GOD will put that smile back on my face.  In the meantime I live my life grateful for every blessing GOD has given me and my family.  I live my life in deep gratitude to GOD as GOD is the one who created the miracle to let me live, let me keep my legs and brain.  GOD is amazing!

Prayer For Depression:

I WAITED patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.  He drew me up out of a horrible pit (a pit of tumult and destruction), out of the miry clay froth and slime, and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our GOD. PSLAM 40:1-3  The Secret Power Of Speaking GOD’s Word book by Joyce Meyer.

Renewing our mind, select We must forgive our enemies (those who betray us, hurt us) we must let GOD work in all areas of our lives to be free to create and enjoy this fragile thing called life.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Do Animals Get Depressed?

Howdy,

Just like people can get depressed I think animals can get depressed when they suffer a great loss of relationship from another family member, buddy or a human.

Select National Geographic Do Animals Get Depressed to read more.

Select Animals can help us humans with depression to see the benefits of having animals.  If you can not afford the cost of a pet consider volunteering your time at an animal rescue organization close to your home.  You will not only be helping the animals and the humans who created this wonderful place you will be helping yourself.

The bible is clear we must help another in order to help ourselves – remember volunteering to help another human or animal may be the best medicine the doctor could order :)

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Being A Friend When Trauma Hits

Howdy,

Reading blogs this week I am seeing the same question over and over – Being A Friend When Trauma Hits, What Can I Do?

Most important thing you can do for your friend or loved one is never go away no matter what happens.  Remember they’re crying and emotional state is not reflected on you directly it is the pain, sleep deprivation and loss the human friend is experiencing and trying to process.

No matter how upset the trauma causes your loved one or friend to act, remember to not take it personal it is not about you. Humans are direct line thinkers and we take things so darn personally we have to learn how to have emotional control and empathy for others.

Continue to come over and see the person who has suffered from trauma, bring lunch, and just hug them.  If you were friends as a couple do your best to continue being friends as a couple this will take some creativity on your part but well worth saving the friendship if it is worth it. We are indeed grateful for our friends that deemed us important enough to not walk away and walked thru the pain, suffering and loss with us; yes when you make the decision to stay with your friend or loved one you will feel the pain they are feeling and the loss but you will also be part of GOD’s plan to heal and change the victim and you into a much deeper human being.

After the semi truck accident we had so very much support from everywhere it seemed but after a couple of months people just disappeared and the worst part was deep connections (friends) just drifted away.  They are no longer our friends but will forever remain loved and prayed for by us

What can I do to help my friend or loved one suffering from trauma (cancer, car accident, disability, pain, depression, death, drugs, alcohol) and much more?

Stay connected to them it is normal to withdrawal and isolate one’s self when suffering from pain and trauma try to find a pain doctor, sleep doctor and counselor for your friend.  Counseling is a wonderful way to sort out how to move forward after trauma strikes as so much changes in the victims life.  I need to write “I do not like the word victim”, this is the correct word when riding as a passenger and getting struck with a semi truck leaving me with large screws in my pelvis for life, chronic pain, a life long disability. What I choose do with the trauma that I have survived can change me from a victim to a victor.  I work very hard to stay in the victor role with the help of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, my husband and best friend and a very small handful of close intimate friends.

To my husband and close friends I am forever grateful as they never stopped believing GOD could change this trauma in a blessing they never stopped believing in me and their strength became the wind beneath my wings and brought many smiles to my face.

Things that helped me:

Blogging on the Donkey Whisperer Farm as connecting with people who I have become close friends with via the internet has been very helpful.  People have sent me prayers and encouragement from all over the world and for these readers I am indeed grateful.  Thank you to everyone who has prayed for me and takes the time to read and write a comment on my blog, this really has helped me with the isolation.

Thank you to all the Word Press readers who have touched my life and others via blogging!

As a victim of trauma I believe I can describe what I most appreciated from my friends most of them are still near me but a few were burnt off from the flames of trauma.  I most appreciated prayer (I could hear or read),visits, hugs, e-mails, phone calls and for my friends to take the time to stay connected to me and my husband.  I most appreciated my friends speaking faith into me telling me I would get better and I would survive, telling me how very important I am to them.  We went thru almost two years of never being able to go out to dinner, not being able to go to the movies, not being able to go shopping.  The simple things in life became the most difficult for me with the pain.

Remember you could be next, you could be the victim of cancer, a life threatening car accident, depression, death, family stuff out of your control as non of us are protected from the pain and suffering of this world 100%.  We live in a fallen world and I believe GOD is still on the throne and still in control.  I believe GOD uses each of his human angles to help another living human and animal not only survive life but thrive.

Here is one of my most favorite personal prayers:

Abba (Father GOD)

Thank you for the angels available to help us, as they harken to the voice of GOD’s word (from the bible).

In Jesus Christ Precious name Amen.

Send me you thoughts and questions on living thru trauma as a loved one or friend, I am happy to help and I will pray for you if you would like.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

This Is What It Feels Like

Howdy,

If you’re having a hard day, week, month or year try to look outside yourself and see how others live as most people have it harder in life than we do!

Here is a song I just found that describes what I am saying “This Is What It Feels Like To Be Held” Enjoy.

When life starts to get me depressed I cry tears it’s good to cry as tears are healing, GOD created us to cry as a way to release and cleanse.  I cry wipe my tears, blow my nose and move forward, get up in my mind and never give up.  I talk to GOD, pray, read Psalms in the bible or whatever verse GOD sends me to.

I am very careful to scan what comes into my mind, ears and eyes selecting what I read, watch on t.v. and view on the internet.  I listen to Christian radio as I need to hear positive affirmations I do not want any negative information as the mind is the battlefield and we must be careful what we are absorbing.

How To Get Your Mind Off Your Problems:

Pray

Read the bible

Write down all your blessings

Get some physical exercise - If you can’t exercise due to poor health go to the pool and float

Surf the net for inspirational blogs, video and photos here is a couple inspirational videos:

Everything Rides On hope

Amberley Snider – Overcoming obstacles

If the semi truck accident had not happened I seriously doubt I would have become the in-depth blogger I am today.  Yes I wanted to share our relationship with Jesus Christ and all the blessings GOD has given us.  Sharing the pain and suffering to help others while it is raw and real created the blog/posts you read today.

Blogging has been very healing for me as I have so much spare time on my hands.  Everything rides on hope I call it faith in Jesus Christ I just can’t imagine how I could have managed all the pain and suffering without God holding my right hand and my husband strength, love and support.  I am so very grateful to have my GOD sent husband he is indeed my very best human friend.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

When Life Throws Storms Our Way

Howdy,

When life throws storms our way it feels like we are all alone in this great big world, it feels overwhelming, as children of Jesus Christ we are never alone.  Here is another YouTube serenity prayer turn up your volume and trust GOD to restore everything stolen above and beyond your wildest dreams.  Nothing is too big for GOD in Jesus Christ precious name.

GOD explains over and over in the bible that first we must believe have faith that GOD can fix our problems.  From the very beginning of the catastrophic motor vehicle accident a “semi truck smashing into my body as I was riding as a passenger” I reminded GOD that I am his child and if he can heal others why not me?

GOD in Jesus Christ precious name created each one of us.  I do not think he is offended by our personalities as he knows what we will do long before we do it. Freedom comes from surrender and trusting GOD to direct us the way he wants us to go.

Freedom, faith, favor, angels, healing, miracles these come from GOD when we pray outloud to GOD – the bible says “GOD listens when two or more of his children pray”, make sure you are connected to other believers to pray with you.  Please remember when trauma hits or any kind of anxiety to pray first, call the prayer line and pray with a prayer warrior over the phone. GOD is amazing!

GOD continues to amaze me with his grace and power to heal my broken body, mind and emotions.  I am forever changed and will never be the person I was before the semi truck smashed int the side of my GOD mothers little truck.  I work very hard to stay grateful for all of our blessings, keep my  head looking up to GOD for better days are ahead and never forget that this time shall pass, one day it will be a story to talk about not the life I must live.

Living with chronic pain and suffering is really difficult as it changes the happy person we were before the pain.  Get the support you need to smile again and stop the pain in its tracks. Here is the free prayer line amazing prayer warriors work here, I know as I have called many times when suffering with insaine amounts of pain.

Here is a few inspirational quotes by Rick Warren, enjoy!

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Got Snow?

Howdy,

Here are a few photos of our farm after GOD blanketed everything with the bright beautiful snow.  Beautiful from the warmth of my snuggly living room with the fire going and a warm cup of hot coco in hand.

I have learned to be very cautious in the cold and damp as my body is very sensitive to the cold and damp creating pain and suffering.

I find my self frustrated as before the metal was installed in my pelvis I loved the snow, loved to play in it, snow ski, snow shoe and just slide down the hill with the kids not any more my body acts like I am 100 years old in the cold and damp.  I simply can not stay out in it very long no matter how many layers of clothes I put on as the nerves are all connected in the body.  For those of you reading my blog living in weather below zero I hope you don’t have hardware in your body.

We blanketed Lily and Rocket Man this winter during our snow storm so happy it is over.  Blankets must be checked for dampness I know they say waterproof but I have yet to find anything that can withstand the rain we get in Washington.  Our living room had blankets drying all week by the stove and the smell of air fresheners ahh winter.  Blanketing is a controversal subject in the equine world as some people think never and some think always.  I happen to think it takes common sense each equine is unique and if the rain/cold is making them shiver you must blanket and change the blanket daily in the wet and cold.  Most importantly make sure the equine has clean hay and fresh water.

We are very grateful to GOD for the favor we received as we moved through the snow and ice storm. We are praying for an early spring and a nice warm summer.

Today is a beautiful day in the mid 50′s the farm is glistening with the sun touching the trees with thick moss, Washington State is truly a beautiful place to live.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Pressing Forward When Life Is Difficult

Howdy,

I always pray, I don’t faint, quit or give up.  LUKE 18:1

When life is difficult and trauma hits we each have a decision to make dig in and stay positive or get angry and go negative leading to depression and poor choices.  I visualize this as a four-way stop sign, which way do we go?  Will I stay in the word of GOD and have a victor attitude and NOT a victim attitude.

Perhaps you don’t know GOD, how do I move towards the light and blessings of Jesus Christ?   Will I do my best to learn from this event and help others or will I curl up in a corner and die?  Perhaps the body is not dead buried in the ground but the mind is dead as negative energy has the power to destroy the humans potential and they no longer look forward to the new day.  If you are suffering from trauma please believe me when I say the game of life is not over until we stop breathing and we leave this human body.

Do you know the meaning of trauma?

Do you know the five stages of grief?

Do you know what to do after trauma hits?

Stages of Grief

Never give up, never stop believing that today may be your miracle; the love of your life may come walking in today, new creative ideas for a job or event that GOD wants you to pursue.  Pain may leave today, healing, restoration, peace and change may be coming today as every day is a new day.

The bible states GOD gives us the strength for today we are not to think of what is needed for tomorrow as GOD has given us the strength and wisdom of today.  I think this is very difficult for personalities like mine a big learning curve as I enjoy having a plan, enjoy dreaming about tomorrow but GOD wants us to enjoy each moment one day at a time.

As soon as my mind starts to become negative I reach for my IPOD with the bible in it or my bible.  Every thought placed in our minds that is not positive is not from GOD, every thought placed in our minds that is positive is light and GOD Rebuke all negative thinking stay in the word of GOD and hold GODs right hand tight like a child holds his/her parents hand as this is our father in heaven.

Tips to kicking the worry habit

1.  Trust GOD in Jesus Christ precious name

2.  Delight – Enjoy the gifts GOD has given you each of us have so many

3.  Give GOD everything (let go it’s like bungee cord jumping scary but exhilarating)

4.  Be still (pray for everything never react before praying)

A card I received during one of my darkest times of pain and suffering:

With GOD every day is a day to hope for the very best – to believe our prayers are being heard, to have faith good news is on its way and to know that anything can happen between yesterday and tomorrow.

If you are having a hard time in life give GOD in Jesus Christ precious name a try.  Reach out to GOD he is waiting for you to pray and the best part is he is available 24×7 day a week.  Dont know where to begin? Pray to GOD in Jesus Christ precious name.

Dear GOD in Jesus Christ precious name Come into my heart I make you my LORD and Savior, I repent of my Sins, please help me to live the best life I can and honor you.  Remember – Nothing is too difficult for GOD and we were not created to settle in life.

I pray my transparency has helped you or a loved one navigate this thing called life. GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Never Give Up, Never Ever Give Up

Howdy,

I’m reading a book Never Give Up by #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Joyce Meyer. We picked it up at Wal-Mart for$5.98 bargain priced so shop around if you want to read it.

My physiatrist is helping me rehabilitate, change my lifestyle to accommodate my disability and much, much more. If you know someone suffering from pain ask around for the best physiatrist you can find.

The bible says over and over we are to never settle in life, never give up, never stop believing today is our miracle or breakthrough each day is a new day and the opportunity for GOD to create a blessing.

Each day is our opportunity to be a blessing to another person or animal, each day is a new day for today will never be here again.

Since the car accident on April 13, 2010 I have suffered with some insane amounts of pain.  I have endured many days that turned into ground-hog day over and over not being able to do much of anything due to the pain.  Pain has changed me I am no longer the person I was before the accident and I will forever walk with a limp, the limp no doubt causes the sciatica pain, middle of back and lower back pain.  Nerve pain is severe and very real and each day I wake up I thank GOD he let me keep my legs, brain, ability to brush my teeth, brush my hair, and care for all the essential day-to-day things we all take for granted.

In my case the doctors just do not know what more can be done after all they fixed my collapsed lung, surgically inserted large screws in my pelvis, kidney, broken ribs, removed all the internal bleeding.  Nerve damage and disc problems, deep pain from cold and dampness they cannot fix, sadly the medical world still does not know much about nerve pain to heal it. In fact they really have no idea why or if this pain will ever end. Still I trust Jesus Christ, Never Give Up and live my life with purpose and a passion to leave this world a little better than it was before I arrived.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!
