Stop Donkey Roping – Please Sign The Petition

Jason Owen of Dos Gringos Productions: DONKEY ROPING MUST BE STOPPED

  1. Why do cowboys rope donkeys?

Donkeys are much slower than a cow when scared.  So this is easy practice as the donkey unlike the cow will stand still and freeze or move slow making it easy and fun to dominate the poor donkey.  Donkeys can run and do sometimes but usually when under serious stress they stand and the cowboy enjoys practicing roping on the donkeys.  Additionally, when the cowboy can not catch the donkey they rope them and drag them behind an A.T.V. or their horse as donkeys when scared as stated above freeze this is abuse and must stop.  Please re-blog!

2. Donkey roping is torture

Not only does it inflict serious damage to donkeys physically, but also causes mental trauma. Physical damage includes rope burns to the legs and neck, crushed tracheae, broken legs and death. Donkeys often become difficult to handle and extremely fearful of people after being roped.  “Donkeys suffer from PTSD after this event and sometimes can never ever trust a human again. ” Melody Johnson, Donkey Whisperer Farm.”

I personally do not like to watch anything being roped, not a cow, a goat and most defiantly not a sweet donkey.  How about you what do you think about donkey roping?
