Today I received the most blessed phone call from my new friend named Rebecca, telling me the two donkeys are going to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue. Thank you Jesus! Rebecca is a true human angel and a person of great faith in Jesus Christ. As Rebecca and I were talking tears started running down my face as she was saying “You know GOD tests us and put’s things in our life to be a missionary in our neighborhood we do not need to travel to Africa to be a missionary as home needs missionaries.” I agree 100% that charity should begin in our life, in our neighborhoods for humans and animals. After all when we leave this body we will be having to account for all the good we did and why we did not help another living human or animal when we could have. I told Rebecca with tears coming down my cheek GOD see’s everything his children do and don’t do. GOD will reward you for caring enough to help these two donkeys, I truly believe we must sow a seed to get any kind of crop good or bad.
Select Momma and her Baby Donkey to read the entire story.
As Rebecca and me were talking I finally had a chance to ask her what happened? How did you meet these two donkeys?
Rebecca began explaining to me how a place of her former employment called her and told her these two donkeys were dropped off could she come and help? She went to take a look never having any experience with donkeys and no pens, food, shelter setup at home. The previous employer told her “Well I guess we will have to put them down as no one is going to take them and we can’t take care of them.” Rebecca called her neighbor and he helped her get the pens up, and she took them home in fact she had them for almost six months. Rebecca told me how she started putting flyers up thinking someone was missing these sweet donkeys and yet no one came forward. Then she started reading on the internet about the hay prices, drought and how people are releasing their equine as they can’t afford to feed them, vet checks etc. She started seeing all the equine slaughter and she began to understand these two sweet donkeys truly had no one looking for them.
I asked her how she found me and she said FB I was surprised as I joined FB only a year ago and most of my marketing to help donkeys is done via wordpress and my website Donkey Whisperer Farm. So a big thank you to FB as this networking saved these donkeys lives and gave me a new human friend named Rebecca.
When I first received her e-mail asking me if I had any idea how to help find a good home for these two donkeys (momma and baby) I did not ask many questions. I began to pray to GOD asking him to help me find a home for these two sweet donkeys after all I live in Western Washington and the donkeys are in Texas. I was rushing to network and sharing all over the internet as I know for a matter of fact these two donkeys had very little time left as Rebecca was running out of time and money. Sadly equine who are abandoned have grim futures most are sent to slaughter or worse for donkeys “Donkey Roping” like cow roping.
Please if you have a stallion or Jack (donkey) geld him.
Too many equine have no homes and are being slaughtered for human consumption, pet food and some have it even worse they are dying slowly in holding pens after being captured by the BLM as they have no shelter from the heat. If you are a breeder have a contract that states you will take back any equine you sell if the owner can no longer care for the equine.
In less than a week Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue became the human angels and Donkey Whisperers these two sweet donkeys a mom and daughter needed. GOD bless Rebecca, the two donkeys, Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue and a man named Bubba I met via FB who works at Peaceful Valley Rescue. GOD give these humans extra support, health and peace as these are some human angels you sent to live here on earth to do thy will.
If you happen to have an opportunity land in your lap to help a human or animal never miss the chance to step up and help. GOD is watching and he is paying attention to how we treat others, I truly believe we can all make a difference in our home town and the world.
What do you think about missionary work begins at home?
GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!
