Please share and care (re-blog)

We need to STOP DONKEY BASKETBALL!  This fund-raising event is coming to a school of children on Feb 19, 2014. Donkey Basketball is in-humane. How the teachers think this is good for students to learn to abuse introverted scared donkeys  is beyond my comprehension with all the violence going on in schools today.

FACT

“Donkeys are mostly introverts and do not like loud noises! Donkeys have weight limits to be ridden, no more than 20% of their body weight including the tack. Donkeys lay down when scared and overwhelmed as they are into self-preservation. Donkeys pull back when scared. Donkeys buck when scared or too much weight is on them or worse on their butt and not the right position. ” Melody Johnson, Donkey Whisperer Farm

Please select Donkey Basket ball to read why this is in-humane and teaches our children to bully. Abuse of animals has been proven to increase the odds of human abuse..

My E-mail:  To the coordinatorbrunswick2014afterprom@gmail.com

Donkeys are mostly introverts, do not like loud sounds. Donkeys lay down when scared as they are into self-preservation this is why they use them and the mule 1/2  horse and 1/2 donkey in the Grand Canyon.
What are you teaching the children to abuse an animal that is afraid and lays down?

Please stop this fund-raising event now!  We are starting a huge group to go to the newspapers and we would like you to be reasonable and just think about this from the donkeys prospective. The donkey is the under-dog and the most abused of all the equine in our world. Donkeys have weight limits. Donkeys are not fed or given water for hours to days before an event like this. Please Stop this abuse now as you can do the right thing and be a human angel. Teach our children to respect animals it is already proven when a child learns it is ok to abuse an animal adults are next. This is abuse.

Thank you for your consideration,

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

Please send your e-mail, stay calm, no emotion and explain why this event should be stopped to brunswick2014afterprom@gmail.com.  & sign into the  Newspaper article and leave your comment.

Key points:

1.  What are we teaching our children?

2. Donkeys have weight limits no more than 20% of their body weight.

3. Donkeys are introverts they do not enjoy loud noises. Bucking is fear based and can be too much weight or not riding in the correct place. Never ride on the butt.

4. Donkeys lay down when under stress and abuse.

5. Donkeys are smart and do not have to be pulled to walk on, they are very smart.

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!

My first thought at your post, was that Donkey Basketball looked rather innocent – what’s the big deal? Then I watched the video and was not happy with what I saw. It is unnecessarily stressing animals out and I am surprised the donkeys are kind enough not to kick and hurt someone. It is mayhem and the poor donkeys look absolutely miserable.

Will you please send an e-mail or re-blog as we can stop this event. I have been studying donkeys in great detail since 2007. I can tell you that all donkey owners agree this is horrible for an introverted equine to be put in this situation. Additionally donkeys have a weight limit and should not be ridden on the butt.

      Thank you for your support,
      Melody

Please do not use curses words I know how painful this is but they will not listen to us if we do not keep our emotions in check.
Thank you for all your help and support to spread education and awareness. Donkeys are introverts and do not like loud noises, they have weight limits and are whitheld food and water to avoid messes. I could go on-and-on. I am adding another post next. This made the channel 4 news but the principle has state the event will go on and will stop next year. We can stop this.

Hello, am just about to write to the paper…I cannot believe this goes on in the “civilised” world. If you have not already done so, ot moght be worth contacting the Donkey Sanctuary in the UK. (google the donkey sanctuary) They are a worldwide donkey welfare charity and I imagine they would join in trying to stop this event. X
