November 2016 On The Donkey Whisperer Farm

Dear Friends Of The Donkey Whisperer Farm,

We are about to experience our 3rd winter living in our 5th wheel, camping. Our home should begin construction in early 2017! Thank you Jesus!!! This has been a GOD story for sure as we could have never achieved anything on the farm without God in Jesus Christ name helping us.  Living in a tiny home takes being organized and loving your partner. My husband Scott and I have been together almost twenty-four years. This man is my best friend and I will always love and honor him. We have a nice strong marriage, Jesus Christ is our savior. This does not mean life is always easy as it is not. Marriage is work but well worth the effort, I love my husband Scott. God holds his children tight we just have to pray and have faith. God is not santa things may not be early but they are never late. This lesson has taught us to be patient, very patient and enjoy the farm, wait for GOD to give us the favor of a home again.  This fall has been simply marvelous as most days we can wear a tee-shirt. A tee shirt in November is a treat in the Pacific Northwest.

I teach more than I get to ride

My body is disabled for the rest of my life but my attitude and brain is still strong. I do not think I will ever get to trail ride again, my pelvis and back simply cannot take it. I still suffer from back, rib spams, feet go numb, lower back pain, hip pain. I will never dance again or twist but I can do more than most people who survive a life threatening car accident. I am the bionic woman as the surgeons drilled big screws in my pelvis to put me back together again. I share my story to give you hope. Never give up no matter what life throws at you. Get up, trust GOD, pray and do good for others. Never get bitter when life throws you down. Remember someone in the world has it much harder than you or I.

We are excited to share our first Video On Demand “Train The Owner Of A Donkey 101” will be released for sale in November of 2016. Select Our Store to order your training program. This is an amazing opportunity for the owner of a donkey to learn how to train the donkey without leaving the farm worldwide. Our video’s will load right on your smart phone, or any other electronic device compatible with downloading videos.

Life Is A Journey

We prayed about this and made the decision to do everything we could for the animals first.

Most people build a home when they purchase raw land with nothing on it. We built the fencing, barn, irrigation, water, septic, fruit trees, a little flower garden. I am a master gardener so this was something I could not give up 100%. Now I will grow low sugar hay for the donkeys and horses.

Our sacrifice has left each of our eight equine, six donkeys and two horses healthy and safe. Sadly we buried two dogs since moving to our farm one from old age, thirteen and the other from cancer while waiting to build our home. Life is full of tears and smiles, we each have the choice to love our life with our boots on or not. We choose to love our life and the animals are a gift from GOD, one we are understand takes much responsibility.

This was our last Christmas 2013 before moving to our twenty acre farm. Our sweet dogs are in heaven now all except the little one. Bud Man lives here with our new Livestock Guarding Dog. We look forward to having a Christmas tree again for sure. Out of the three dogs the little dog is still with us.

Since we are in the process of building our home and farm we use a blue tarp to compost all of the poop the donkeys and horses provide the farm. The compost is then placed on the 10 acre hay-field, nothing is wasted on our farm. Our poop is picked up twice a day on the farm. Picking up the poop each day along with composting prevents worms and keeps the feet clean. Living on a clean farm is very important to the heath of our animals and our well-being. Education is the key to a healthy farm. One day we will create a more formal compost bin for now the blue tarp is doing the job. Read everything you can to prevent mud, and keep your farm running healthy. Did you know most counties provide a free farm plan to help you setup your farm? Yes!

Our sweet girl Jewel! She is in heaven now as she passed away from old age at 13. One of the hardest things to do is say goodbye.

Our Anatolian Shepherd is a Livestock Guarding dog. He is One year and four months old now. We purchased him from Shepherds Rest Anatolians in Oregon as a puppy. The LGD is not for the first time dog owner. This breed must have a large farm and a fence. He protects his farm from predators, coyotes, bears, cougars. Our dog is an indoor/outdoor dog as all of our dogs are.

Here is a photo of Marble Creek Ranch Anatolians, CA. Shepherds Rest Anatolians is related to the daddy of these pups too. These sweet puppies were born a week ago. One of the 8 puppies is our new puppy. GOD is amazing as we prayed for a female. Seven of the eight puppies are females.

2017 is going to be a busy year as we begin the process of building our home. GOD is amazing!

GOD bless you and your family two and four-legged!
