Our attitude is 100% the direct result of how we live our life. I choose to live my life happy, enjoying my family two and four-legged. I choose to live my life as a grateful human even when life has not been fair. I chose to have boundaries. “Great things take time, prayer, patience, planning and the desire to never give up no matter what” No one get’s a free ride.
I pray you find joy and peace in your life, it all begins with one step to change. Our world is most difficult. Seems no other time in the history of our human race have we endured the stresses of today. Please do not let the world change you. You are here for a reason, first we must heal ourselves so we can help others.
Select Love yourself and do not feel guilty for loving yourself. Seems we are so busy caring for our family two or four-legged that we forget to love ourselves. First we must learn to care for ourselves next we can help others.
Laughter is truly medicine
Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughtertriggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain. I am the survivor of a life threatening car accident leaving me with a life-long physical disability. Screws in my pelvis have changed my life this is for sure. Pain is something I live with each day and night and it never ends. I do not like talking about my disability as I live in the moment. I feel sharing with you may help you.
“A body in motion stays in motion” Not moving causes me more pain. Moving too much causes pain and well the balance is a life-long challenge. Pain sucks and changes the person we once were. Sadly most humans have more empathy for a sick animal than a human. Not all some humans still abuse animals and people. Our world is fragile and precious.
Never give up until you find a way to live without insane pain. I will no doubt have pain the rest of my life, but the pain is no longer controlling my life. I am very blessed to have the team of medical providers who cared for me during the trauma and after. My husband and best friend Scott he is truly stronger than me. This man my best friend has never stopped encouraging me to never give up. He is truly my best friend before he is my husband and I know from this day to my last breath he will always be in my corner as I will always be in his. Love does not give up on one another. Love stays with us forever. No doubt I will be in need of medical attention for the rest of my life. Each person who helps my body is a human angel, I am blessed and so are you.
Dreams do come true!
I have lived in Western, WA my entire life. As a child I dreamed of living on a mini farm in Sequim, Washington. Today my husband, three dogs, two horses and six donkeys live on the Donkey Whisperer Farm, LLC. I work very hard to educate the owner of donkey(s) how to train without abuse and pain and how to feed the desert equine the donkey. The donkey is a serious easy keeper meaning we must limit time on green lush grass and brush and the hooves need to be as dry as possible.
I am one of the lucky ones as I am the survivor of a life threatening car accident. GOD gave me a miracle.
After surviving a life threatening car accident we had to change our life 100%. A move was needed from a two-story home to a one story home and a place for me to keep moving my body but not harming my body. I carry screws in my pelvis for the rest of my life leaving me with nerve damage, pain, spasms and aches that are sometimes horrific. As I age my body hurts more, as the weather changes to damp from the Pacific Northwest the more I hurt.
Trauma Changes Everything Forever
Before I survived the life threatening car accident I was stressed about little things in life and some issues that I could not change as we all love our families. Interesting fact is we cannot make a loved one change, no matter what we do to try to help them. Change comes from within. I know the little things are not important. It’s amazing how the day trauma steps into our life nothing else matters except survival. I pray you will not need to have trauma in order to change.
God in Jesus Christ name is why I am still positive. I can no longer go for a trail ride, dance, bend or even stand in one place for very long without extreme pain in my ribs and back. My feet are constantly stinging from nerve damage along with ribs and hips aches. The knees and Iliotibial Band Syndrome band (I.T.) is never calm either. I am one of the lucky ones. Most people die after surviving a car accident like I survived. GOD gave me the passion to teach and help the underdog the donkey. Donkeys are seriously in great need of education as they need our help to live in domestication and stay healthy.
I am disabled but I am not dead. I am still able to function, teach and enjoy my life. In fact most people would not even know I am disabled. Living with a disability that is not seen is not always easy. People cannot feel the pain nor do they experience the long nights and frustration of a hidden disability. I live my life with gratitude as I could have died or worse lived with no legs, no brain, or in a wheel chair.
I share my life journey to inspire never to complain. Life is all about learning, growing and sharing. I pray you find love, peace and joy. Life is precious and fragile. Live each day truly as this is your last.
I am blessed to have my husband Scott, not only is he my husband he is my best friend of almost 25 years. God is amazing.
No matter how hard life is never give up! God in Jesus Christ name will give each of us the wisdom, peace and energy to endure life. We must never give up. Keep on keeping on even when we do not feel like it. Life is all about paying it forward and helping others. Sharing our unique gifts and talents. Each of us has something to share and help. Our bodies were not made to sit around and not move. We were made to create and share.
Joy comes from within, along with peace and harmony. I work very hard to enjoy each day as it is my last as it may very will be. Life is fragile and precious.
God bless you and your family two and four-legged!
